This is quite possibly my favorite scrapbook page of any I have ever done. I did it for the latest A True Friend A Priceless Treasure challenge.

I want to thank all of you who expressed concern over Schatze. She has only been on the meds for a few days, but she is already feeling loads better. She’s frisky and hungry and cuddly. The lehargy we attributed to the heat is actually due to he heart/breathing issues. Poor ween!
I also want to thank all of my bloggy friends for all of your wonderful comments and compliments! You all make me feel so … talented and special, I guess. I love you guys! I also want to say that reading your blogs keeps me entertained, inspired, and cheered up when I’m feeling low. I am so glad I discovered this world.
I finished 2 layouts yesterday, both of which I am thrilled with. The first one is my first shot at the kellie crow collection for Scrapinstyle TV. AND the photos were just taken 2 weeks ago. Scrapping current is pretty fun.

This next layout uses some very old Susan Branch paper and stickers I’ve had for about 12 million years. And these photos were justtaken on Wednesday I think! When we saw this little guy hopping around our yard we nearly tried to get in touch with Kathryn or Alynda to figure out what we should do to save him from the scary driveways of Cleveland. But then I remembered Aly’s stories about her new bunny and decided to just leave a trail o green beans for the little guy to follow out of harm’s way.

Just this morning I read Melanie’s challenge to name your problem and then do something about it. Well, my problem is patterned paper. I love it. I have tons of it. I keep buying more. I can’t stop. Want to see?

It’s everywhere. And this does not count the 10 pizza boxes of old Club scrap paper I have. And beleive me, there is more than 1 kit in each box. It’s sick. I am going to go through the piles this weekend and pull some for donation, but still. I need to use as much of this as possible. So there is my problem.
What a week. We took Schatze to teh vet yesteday and found out her heart is enlarged. She is currently taking heart meds and a diuretic. She’ll come off the diuretic bu not the heart pills, poor weenie. But she is a good sport. Corey is a big fan of the doctor-mandated naps. So am I!
There was a cute little bunny visiting our yard yesterday. I think it is someone’s pet – I hope it has found a home.
L had her baby today – I am so excited to go see momma & baby tomorrow. =)
It’s been q hell of a week – I hope to scrap tommorow…
This holiday may have more emotions wrapped into it than Mother’s Day. But that’s probably becuase I am a girl who doesn’t have her daddy any more. We saw Corey’s dad yesterday, just in case we couldn’t make it down today.
My first blessing goes to all the angel daddies. I wish for you a measure of peace today. And I hope that those who know you acknowledge you, instead of ignoring it.
Once again I can also say I am really lucky. My father-in-law is a really cool guy that we like to be around. We are so blessed with reat families.
And my Dad. My dad was just the best. It’s so weird to describe it now, but he was into music, movies, motorcycles, computers, movies, and whatever the latest electtronic gadget was. He loved to share the stories of his life, family was #1, he loved to travel on the backroads and learn more wherever he went. Hello! The apples DOES not fall far fom the tree, although it is into different version of the above. He’s been gone for 4 years and I miss him every day. I really didn’t appreciate him as much as I should have for quite a long time – but what teenager does? And besides, as much as I might not have wanted to hear the long-winded stories or go on the drives, I still did. =) And Corey – he appreciated every minute of the time he spent with my dad. He LOVED being my dad’s sidekick. Hmmm, this is the point where I;m getting all weepy. Interesting. Anyway, those 2 were always inbto some project or scheme. And while my dad and his buddies came up with he names Brassfinger, Town Drunk, and Old Curmudgeon over the years, it is Corey who gave him the name Captain Bob. Or simply BK.
So here are 2 of my favorite pictures of my dad. I think the black and white photo is probably one of the best pictures I have ever seen in my life. And for the rest of the Kuppe kids – the tall skinny ne is your dad – my uncle Norman. =)

Happy Father’s Day, boys!
Today I went with the girls to pick out bridesmaids dresses. It was a snap, we all liked the same style dress, it wasn’t too pricey, and we got it at the first place we went to. Wonderful! we also ate at Cheeseburger in Paradise. Our waiter was really nice and our food was good. When they bring you boxes they draw pictures on tehm in crayon – nice. Hmmm, I didn’t think to get a pciture of it, but I will.
After that I went to Corey’s grandma’s house to visit with her and his parents. It was a very good day. =)
I never did find the blog post I wanted, but I found Dawn’s blog with some FANTASTIC layouts onto which she has added some crocheted pieces. I also found this site in my favorites with patterns for lots of little crocheted flowers. One of which I used on a page. It came out so cute and I just love everything about this page.

I also started some simple hot pink polka dots that I plan on using on my first ever 6 x 12 page tonight – I totally ran out of steam last night. Tammy did a cool card for Emily’s challenge where she poked holes around the card and crocheted into that. I’m sure I could figure it out on my own, but I was hoping to google actual instructions last night. I did NOT hit upon the correct combination of search terms.

When I first started reading blogs en masse a few months ago, I would save all kinds of posts in bloglines. And I would sub to everything I looked at, mostly becasue that is the only way I can read blogger posts at lunchtime at work. So occasionally I’ll clean out my saved items, and occassionally I’ll unsib from blogs that don’t have posts, or ones it turns out I don’t enjoy reading.
I remember seeing a post in a blog that was done by a scrapper. Hmm, maybe it wasn’t a scrapper, maybe it was an altered artist. Hmm, that didn’t help. Anyway, it was a little mini book by someone who is probably well known, but at the time I hadn’t ever heard of her, I just surfed on over from someone else’s blog. So anyway, there were these great little detail photos of some things in the book. That may have been all it was, a sneak peak. Anyway, this one page was edged in green crochet. The designed mentioned she had crocheted it herself, and included a link to her crochet patterns. I cannot find this post!!! I looked in my scrap folder, my emily challenge folder, and my other art folder. I may have looked at it and bookmarked it on my home pc, but I’ll never find it there! Grr…
So, now for the yay! Isn’t Corey sweet?

In my never-ending quest to use up my stash as well as scrap like mad, I’ve done 3 layouts since last night. Katy’s trying to bring back metal tags so I thought I’d help. And I just want to get rid of stickers I’ve had since 1999. And then there is the whole colored pencil thing. So here is my latest:

I would greatly appreciate it if someone would please remove the Van Halen song from my head now. Thank you!
This weeks {23} prompt from Emily is “so what is going on with you right now? your life, right now. this week, this day, this year, this moment. tell me what is happening!”
This week I hid my journaling in a little pocket {Sizzix}. I had to laugh because I was trying to stamp the flower {Stampin Up!} off center, so of course it ended up completely centered. Ijournalled on a page from my planner, and wrote wih my all time new favorite pen {Sailor}. The back is just a scrap os some patterened paper {DCWV}, Flowers {Prima}, and brads {Colorbok} that I love. Ooh, and I little paper domino {Jolee’s} Enjoy!

OK, I always try to get in on the blog rak action, now I am doing an RAK of my own. Granted, only a few people read this, although there are more of you than ever -thanks for that! Oh, and THANK YOU for all the wonderful compliments on my/our pictures – everyone is so nice! =)
OK, back to this silly RAK. I dont know what it will be, but I’ll try to make is something nice. But it goes to the very first person who identifies the song and band from whence I stole the title for this post. Now, I’m 99% sure that only 3 people who read this have ever heard the song, or heard of the band. And Corey is ineligible for eh RAK since he was with me all day while I was singing the song. But anyone who knows what I am writing about, feel free to share your fave story in the comments section.
Anyway, today was a perfect day. We planned to get up early and find 5 letterboxes. In my mind that meant leave by 10:00. But we were out until almost 3 AM again last night, and Corey made his own personal dent at the wedding’s open bar, so I think waking up at 10:30 still qualifies as early.
We got on the road by 1, after dropping off Schatze at my mom’s, and snagging some much needed iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts. Finding a way to get to my ATM rivalled the hunt for some letterboxes, but armed with cash and good intentions (and aforementioned caffeine) we eventually made our way to Geneva State Park. Now, between Corey and I, we have probably driven out to Geneva several hundred times. I can’t say I ever actually noticed there was a state park there, so once again we learn by letterboxing. We also learned that the park sucks. Wow. It was a gorgous day, not steaming hot, very sunny, and the park was practically deserted. I was surprised but grateful, since 2 of the boxes were at picnic areas. They were short and sweet, and very cool stamps. This gave use plenty of time to hit the strip.
Again, we’ve been there 72,000 times. But this was the very first time that we DIDN’T go to the Cove. I did take a picture of it. There are so many cool-looking retro signs in Geneva on the Lake. I’ll post some soon. We walked, we ate at Eddie’s grill, we played putt putt, and we had a damn good time.
Afterwards, we headed back towrds home and stopped for 2 more letterboxes. One of the two was a really great hike in an area os the North Chagrin Reservation I had never been to. The other would have been a great hike too, but I knew where it was and cut out most of the walk since it was getting late. We capped off the night by getting some dinner and bringing it to my mom’s to share with her, my aunt, and my cousin. Please note that it was KFC and I only ate 2 bites of chicken, just for a taste, and then made a mean on salad and green beans. Yay me!
