I had a great day! Well, I woke up at 6:45 which was 45 minutes too early, but I used the extra time to continue crocheting my new hat. My mom arrived at 8 and I we headed out to Archivers for make & takes. They were so nice! The photos in the mailer and email did not do them justice. I was just going to do the free card and the monogram cards, but the layout was really cute so I did that too. I picked up a few stamps and paper for christmas cards, finally got my mega scalloped circle punch (for christmas cards too, OK?) and then showed my mom what I want for Christmas (how awful that sounds). I conveniently gave her a $10 off coupon too. She was so patient while I made all the gorgeous stuff. Most importantly, I got my free journalling notebook – this thing is so cool!
Next we headed to Joann’s. More Christmas stuff. And a pressie for mom. And fleece for other pressies. And paintbrushes for journalling… I think these and the ribbon are going back. I thought the ribbon was on sale and it wasn’t. I got a lot. Anyway, Joann’s was followed up with a trip to Starbucks. Hurray for nonfat pumpkin spice latte.
After this morning of shopping I met my friends Kim and Lisa at the Cheesecake Factory. Wow. Yum. I had the most delicious pasta dish (Spicy Chipotle Chicken Pasta). And the most wonderful fresh banana creme cheesecake. We had such a nice visit – we’ve been friends for over 10 years. =) And see girls, you made the blog:

And I found out they love starbucks as much as I do. he Christmas flavors are out now – we got to sample the peppermint hot cocoa – complete with whipped cream and sprinkles. YUMMY!
And now my favorite episode of CSI Miami is on the DVR – the one where Calleigh gets high. Ha!
