Time flies. I can’t believe it has been 3 weeks and one day since I had Colin. It is mostly a blur and definitely a rollercoaster. The only thing I am sure of is my love for my son. I know I am getting that part right. And I am sure of Corey’s love for him. No one has ever had a more devoted daddy. But enough about Corey. Well, he has a definite preference for Pampers, lol. And all we have left in Newborn is huggies. I offered him an opportunity to exchange the last pack of huggies for Pampers, but he chose not to. And darn it, Costco doesn’t sell Pampers. WTF???
Anyway, let’s talk about Colin. Also known as Mr. Peanut, Baby Smiley, Squeaky Boy Floyd, Stinky Boy Floyd, and Baby Squeaky. His favorite story is “One Day Colin Baby…” I invite you all to make up your own adventure about Colin Baby and share it with us. He loves any and all stories in which he is the star. His favorite song is “Baby Colin, Mommy Loves You.” This is followed closely by “Kookaburra” and “3 Little Fishies,” although I am pretty sure he wishes mommy would learn the rest of the words. His favorite food is Similac Advanced Early Shield, and his mommy would love to hear from other bottle-feeding mommies, since apparantly the world thinks only breastfeeders need support. Not true. And now that we have that all out of the way, we would love any and all not-sick visitors. We love visitors – please come over.
And now for what you have been waiting for – pictures!
I can’t quite capture his actual cuteness with my camera or Corey’s. These are all from my camera withthe zoom lens. I think we might go professional next week some time. Because he will be a month old next Saturday. I will cry.
So, if I had made captions for these I would have mentioned that he sure does sleep alot when we want to be awake. And he sure does like to make it hard to feed him sometimes. His usual trick is to turn his head towards me when i try to give him a bottle. So I can’t get it anywhere near his mouth. OR (he has done this since he was born) he will flail his arms in front of his face so you can’t get a nipple of any sort anywhere near his mouth. Yet clearly he is hungry. =) Ane now he grabs onto the bottle so I can’t see if anything is going into his mouth or if there is actually formula in the nipple. Poor little dear just wants to help I think.
Cheryl was right, he does look like he has red hair. In pictures. Not in real life.
I love his little feet and hands. You can still see little marks where they took hi blood though. =( Poor little peanut.
I forgot everything else I was going to write. Daddy has been so nice holding Colin and playing guitar, sitting here with me. That is a picture for another post.
I can’t believe my baby boy is 2 weeks old already. Time is flying by. I knew how much I would love him, and yet it blows my mind every day. All I want is to be the best mommy to this precious little person.
